3rd Workshop on Chinese High Performance Computing
Call for Participation

With support from NSF (US National Science Foundation), ATIP (Asian Technology Information Program) and SC 2007 are sponsoring a workshop on Chinese HPC in conjunction with SC 2007 in Reno Nevada USA. Additional sponsors include famous companies and organizations including Sun, Microsoft, SGI, Clearspeed, IDC, Dawning, Shanghai Supercomputer Center and others. ATIP has already conducted two China HPC Workshops in conjunction with the Supercomputing Conference series, one in 2003 and one in 2004. The primary aim of the HPC Workshop is to enhance Western understanding of developments in China and to foster collaborations between Chinese and Western research communities.


We solicit participation from Chinese who wish to present in one of the following sessions.


A. Chinese Government Plans and Programs
B. Infrastructure (HPC Centers, Networks, etc)
C. Research in algorithms, architectures, etc
D. User applications (industry, etc)
E. Vendors (Chinese and Multinational)
F. Panel on status of HPC in China
G. Poster


Participants may propose to present papers in oral or poster sessions. Workshop presentations and posters will be archived as part of the ACM Digital Library.


SC 2007 (http://sc07.supercomp.org) is expected to have over 5,000 participants and is the world's largest and most important event for those using or interested in HPC. Participants will have the opportunity to have detailed discussions with key members of the international HPC community as well as to examine hundreds of exhibits from vendors, industrial users, and research centers around the world. The technical program includes research papers, panels, and discussions on many aspects of HPC.
